The paper defines church growth in terms of the individual and provides a historical and biblical basis for individual involvement in the growth process. The author concludes that it is not evangelism that leads to church growth, but rather, church growth, as defined in the paper, leads to evangelism. Research for the paper utilized a wide variety of written materials as well as the author's own experience in the local church."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["d722638c-a7e2-43f3-93ff-4762bde0dde7"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133504183992320,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:20:20.195Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T01:13:38Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:20:59Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"64ff0401-273b-46f5-ae68-f52e694e8372","accessControl_ssim":["9300e9e4-349b-4e38-a97c-50f7bf3ee498"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Luther's theology of the cross and rural life"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T01:13:37Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:05:03Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["c26cfb44-0482-4aff-91d0-0a20b5582a72"],"hasLease_ssim":["eec01090-3f40-4632-a183-a6cceafacf5b"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago"],"advisor_tesim":["Robert L Conrad"],"year_tesim":["1990"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Marsha Jark-Swain"],"publisher_tesim":["Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago"],"subject_tesim":["Rural churches","Luther, Martin, 1483-1546","Theology","Sociology, Rural"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This paper utilizes the 'Heidelberg Disputation' and other writings about Luther's theology to apply the theology of the cross to rural communities.
