With the development of a multi-layered program including worship education and the formation of Worship Design Teams, members had occasions to interact more boldly with scripture, liturgy and prayer, to wrestle with how best to proclaim the gospel, and to find their own place within the faith story. During these years, first-generation Koreans worked toward better socio-economic positions and lifestyles.  However, while these parents were working hard, their children grew up without much love or interest from the parents.  Two different lifestyles of the first and second generations were starting to make a wall between them.  This wall manifested itself at home and at church as separation of these two groups.  The difference in language, culture and values further separated these two groups.  The church is given the task of reconciling and restoring first and second generations' relationship and treating their wounds. The writer has begun a retreat program that can allow second-generation children to discover a new identity, and Korean language school that can improve their relationship by better understanding each other.
