For many, the commitment to study the ancient text persists in being an elusive pursuit. The hinderance can be described as biblical nescience. Although numerous Christians adhere to religious doctrine, church ordinances, and corporate engagements such as regular Sunday worship, Christian instruction, communion, Bible study, prayer, ministry service, and giving, largely excluded from the framework of faith is Bible reading. Some Christians acknowledge the major obstacle to be a lack of understanding of the storyline. Another challenge for readers is finding relevancy in the text, while others hold to the notion that comprehensive Bible reading and study are the sole responsibility of the pastor and church leaders to guide Christians beyond these complexities and aid future believers to embrace the Living Word. This writing seeks to reenergize and rekindle the importance of reading and having a deeper understanding of the Good News through the use of a biblical plot-line that places emphasis on God’s mission."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791129527981703168,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:17:08.193Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T19:04:25Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:42:59Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"f9b570bb-8111-4f52-b5d2-b13068824469","accessControl_ssim":["6cbc489e-1c34-41fe-acbe-1e8fe07caf0c"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Peace Upon Our Troubled World: A Reflection on Jesus' Post Resurrection Visits in John 20:19-31"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T19:04:24Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T05:15:41Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["7a50bfe6-ea27-4ecd-8b38-5096d21c8c9d"],"hasLease_ssim":["bfcd9798-2396-46e2-bcf6-ed8306c5065f"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"discipline_tesim":["Religion"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["University of Nigeria, Nsukka"],"advisor_tesim":["Cosmas Uzowulu Fr, Dr. Ph.D."],"year_tesim":["2011"],"resource_type_tesim":["Thesis"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["CANICE CHUKWUEMEKA NJOKU FR M.A."],"keyword_tesim":["Exegetical Preaching"],"subject_tesim":["Social justice","Bible--Antiquities","Bible--Criticism, interpretation","Conflict management","Spiritual life"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["In a world where both the interior and exterior peace of its inhabitants is under constant threat by one form of chaos or the other, is there any hope for lasting peace? This reflection explores the impact of Jesus' gift of peace to his disciples during his post-resurrection visits in John 20:19-31. Importantly, it carefully evaluates the relevance of this visit to all living in today's challenging and chaotic world. This work reveals that peace is a gift from God and that Jesus' salutation ('Peace be with you'), which communicates much peace and liberates every troubled soul, is still very much re-echoed to all today. Hence, it is still relevant for the continued restoration and sustenance of peace in both the individual and our entire world.Faith and humility are prerequisites for receiving the peace that Christ offers. Also, the Holy Spirit is a principal-agent in humankind's search for lasting peace, and peace is not primarily a characteristic of happenings in the world but also a human attitude and a characteristic of all who have received it.The title of this little book speaks for itself. The peace that Christ offers is still very much needed in every soul and in our world at large. It is what our world lacks and needs most today, and this is what I present to you in this little book."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"related_url_tesim":["https://www.amazon.com.mx/Peace-Upon-Our-Troubled-World/dp/1098000897/ref=sr_1_2?__mk_es_MX=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91\u0026dchild=1\u0026keywords=canice+njoku\u0026qid=160"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791131157836857344,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:43:02.543Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T18:56:52Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:03:07Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"ac7101f1-d606-4eaa-8db7-bb24ea385582","accessControl_ssim":["870b0f95-666c-4504-b153-a437b159812d"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A Biblical Examination of an Ontological reading of Theology, in Trinity, in the [Christian] Believer and in Church"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T18:56:51Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:06:52Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["790570bd-7e91-4e36-9b65-89137d8a7da4"],"hasLease_ssim":["bd0e7536-0e54-48e6-a61f-55869333d469"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Philosophy"],"discipline_tesim":["Theology"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Atlantic Coast Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Frank Moore Dr Ph.D."],"year_tesim":["2019"],"location_tesim":["Malawi","United States","France","United Kingdom","Algeria"],"resource_type_tesim":["Thesis"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Erwin Samuel Henderson Dr Ph.D."],"keyword_tesim":["Church (Ecclesiology)"],"subject_tesim":["Theology, Practical","Church renewal","Christology","Bible--Theology","Bible--Criticism, interpretation","Theology, Doctrinal"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Ontological theology considered in some theological works, was given little significance as a primary theme. The thesis attempts to restore prominence and cohesion of an ontological construct, whereby function and structure, are the subordinate product defined by the ontological theological perspective. The effects are far reaching for theological definitions of the essential nature of the Trinity, the believer and the church; representing a paradigmatic shift in theological understanding, affecting profoundly the nature existential Christocentric Christianity. The ontological theology of Trinity contrasts with the relational subordination, authority-submission proponents and opponents, in substance, in relationship and in function. The recovery of apostolicity as an ontological attribute of Godhead provides significant insight and cohesion to the ontological Trinitarian proposal. The effects upon the believer ontologically are contrasted with the religious disposition and the positional judicial approach to salvation. The prototypical shift occurs in the Person of Jesus-Christ to an existential reality originated in Trinity and replicated ontologically in the believer. The nature of humankind is thereby reinterpreted giving definition to the “spiritual man” as the sole form of legitimate existence that is biblically normalized and warranted. The ontological primacy provides an alternate construct to the historical structural understanding of church that has not changed since the early patristic period. The proposal emerging from this exegesis is a model of church: ontological and apostolic, originated, [re]sourced, and incarnate from the nature of Trinity, demonstrating undeniably that it is impossible for the Church of divine intent to exist outside of the three persons of the Godhead. Christo-centricity restores Church to the origin, source and 'telos'. Present day observations may exemplify distanciation of contemporary expressions of church from ontological definitions. A return to source represents a theological and ecclesiastic field of renewal to perpetuate in the coming years."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791128650110730240,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:03:10.990Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T18:15:52Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:19:42Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"c9d1cba1-e166-4708-a27f-7d3c34053a67","accessControl_ssim":["9c6fa5c7-8f98-4ca0-85bd-17402d3223b0"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["An Exegetical Approach to the Pistis Christou Debate : Examining the Meaning of Pistis in Romans 3-5 and Galatians 2-3"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T18:15:51Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:55:53Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["d4530036-1ef6-4d04-b68d-10ccdd0966ba"],"hasLease_ssim":["f59a863a-f91b-46cb-8de2-91c238ec4d57"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Reformed Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Robert J Cara"],"year_tesim":["2018"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["J Alec Flynt"],"keyword_tesim":["Greek language--Terms--Pístis Christoú"],"publisher_tesim":["Reformed Theological Seminary, Charlotte campus"],"subject_tesim":["Bible. The Epistle to the Hebrews is used as a biblical model for proclaiming Christ to a local congregation, applying the three-fold office of Christ as Prophet, Priest and King to the unique situation and condition of this local church. An historic example of preaching is given from Dr. D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones. 36 sermon outlines are offered expounding upon the book of Hebrews."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127927874650112,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:51:42.212Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T15:33:57Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T02:35:16Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"0d569a3b-f993-4c4b-8ad9-84ee8ab6a480","accessControl_ssim":["acfeebfd-ed2f-4b42-b88b-9c1f795ee2b7"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["That's so '70s: making feminist hermeneutics relevant for the 21st-century adolescent"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T15:33:55Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T22:29:53Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["37501a5e-43db-459a-ad5b-d25763b2346b"],"hasLease_ssim":["8a59c478-75d8-45a4-a188-e099a868bdc4"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Virginia Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["David T Gortner"],"year_tesim":["2013"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Regina A Ballard"],"keyword_tesim":["Feminist theology"],"publisher_tesim":["Virginia Theological Seminary (Alexandria, VA)"],"subject_tesim":["Equality","Bible--Criticism, interpretation","Christian education--Philosophy","Feminist criticism"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This thesis project discusses ways in which students can apply feminist hermeneutics to their study of the Bible.
