An historic example of preaching is given from Dr. D. A model for church growth based on hospitality (Hebrews 13:1-6) was developed.  A program to reverse the membership trend in Eastminster Presbytery (59 churches in northeastern Ohio) included clergy and lay convocations, a major training event and a follow-up consisting of training volunteers in church growth.
