The goal of this project was to develop a contextualized discipleship strategy for Chinese international students that prepares them for re-entry into their native country. Qualitative research was used to gain a better understanding of Chinese international students coming to the University of Wisconsin. It also served to assess the effectiveness of the discipleship strategy. The long-term success of this discipleship strategy is unverified. Muslim attitudes toward Christianity are analyzed as expressed in the literature of the period and in a field study conducted in 2011-2012. The theme of God's saving victory is identified as an aid in helping Muslims understand the Bible. Jesus' person and work are explained in terms that are more comprehensible to Muslims. Muslim attitudes toward Egypt's Christians are explored. The result of the research is that TITIP is a promising and effective program that achieves most of its objectives and in general adheres to good principles of teaching.The strength of the program lies especially in its spiritual formation and in its teaching of English. Factors that make the program effective include: native speakers of English as teachers, a student-oriented and interactive teaching style, dormitory living, staff are good models of Christian maturity and servant leadership, the practice of a variety of spiritual disciplines, punctuality, and critical thinking skills. The main concern about the TITIP program is that while providing a holistic training program there seems to be a lack of focus. The two objectives of TITIP are to prepare young Papuans for advanced study domestically and abroad, and at the same time to provide opportunities for preparing them to be 'change agents' and leaders in their own Papuan communities. The results indicated that the topic doesn't get dealt with enough in many congregations, that parishioners are generally unhappy with the church's handling of the matter and that when the church does deal with it, it is greatly appreciated in the pews.
