In the research project nine consultant interventions were developed and then evaluated by clergy and laity.  The researcher concludes that consultants can express their ecclesiological position to client congregations as long as this nurtures the consulting relationship.  He proposes that congregational support for baptismal ministry can be ethically influenced through personal self-disclosure by the consultant and a mutual exploration of ecclesiology. Process guidelines and worksheets were prepared and then field-tested with four congregations.  A handbook with process-guidelines and worksheets was developed.  The churches are more informed about the biblical and denominational directives for church growth.
