The researcher assembled groups of varying generational makeup, surveyed them to find preconceptions about missions and generations, and directed them to serve a local ministry. Tracking the groups’ opinions along generational lines throughout showed the effect missions made. This research is to find out factors that enable the leaders to effectively equip their youths. This study employs descriptive research methodology and concentrates in three research questions: What are the characteristics of the effective leaders? What are the practices of the effective leaders? What makes effective leadership teams? The findings rest on interviews with leaders of five effective Chinese churches of NYC (BCCC, FaBC, FiBC, NYCAC, and OCM), InterVarsity, and Seekers. Phenomenological and qualitative research methodology formed the framework of study, guided by perspectives of grounded research and symbolic interactionism.  Results identify principles for the development of this intergenerational group.
