The author, merely a simple interim, concluded that an intentional interim would have been better for the church. Through the work of a transition committee during a six to twenty-four month period on a five part self-study examining the history, polity, denominational linkage, vision and commitment to new leadership the church will identify inherent problematic issues and keep them from resurfacing in the tenure of the next pastor.
