It was anticipated that participating teenagers would demonstrate a willingness to discuss matters of faith, engage in theological reflection, find comfort and enjoyment in doing Lectio Divina with their parents, and show interest in continued spiritual practices at home. For the purpose, first of all, this thesis-project examines the past and present of the Korean Protestant Church. Secondly, this thesis-project explores the spirituality of the Korean Protestant Church and the cultural factors which influenced Christianity in Korea. Thirdly, this thesis-project observes the place of the Bible in the Christian tradition and lectio divina in Guigo II's book, The Ladder of Monks. Fourthly, this thesis-project examines the relationship between lectio divina and non-Christian Korean culture, Korean Protestant spirituality. This thesis-project also suggests both an individual lectio divina and communal lectio divina for the Korean Protestant Church. In three months, Sunday worshipers' sermon ratings increased almost one third (32%); this increase is statistically significant (p = .00). The Lectio Divina-style approach was introduced to a second congregation, but without the experiential participation.
