The spiritual, emotional, and practical needs of transplant patients and their families are examined.  Next the biblical, ethical, and theological issues related to organ transplantation are examined.  Resources which help pastors find help and guidance are discussed. A variety of methods for approaching case consultations have been primarily physician-focused, leaving the role of the clinical ethicist from the perspective of the family overlooked.  Indicating a gap in the process of end-of-life decision making, family members identified seven categories about their experience of decision making. One hundred health care workers were presented with twenty-two cases requiring both an action decision and a value justification for the action.  This test was given pre and post a six-week course in perinatal management.
