The project uses three case studies of patients in therapy to demonstrate the constructive power of core narrative in creating future stories. Deconstructing dysfunctional aspects of these narratives creates emotional and psychological space for reconstruction of more healthy narratives and patterns of life, thus creating experiences of hope and possibility for the future. Pre-tests, post-tests, observations and interviews were used to determine the effects of a course entitled 'The Meaning of Life' on a control group. Story theology offered the theological perspective. The study focuses on the question: What is a good death?  A single case study approach is used and the data are collected, analyzed, and synthesized using Narrative Inquiry Methods. It was concluded that Andy did have a good death experience and that quality of relationships are key in determining whether a person dies well or not.
