When we know that God has suffered what we are suffering, we are able to be healed in our traumatic confrontations, and to grow in faith through this suffering, either to a new wholeness of life, or to live completely to the end in the face of death. The thesis was tested in marriage counseling, in care of the dying and bereaved, and in unemployment counseling. People in less serious situations found the concept less helpful; people in trauma found the concept helpful, as reported in fifty-five interviews."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799717799503855616,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:24:02.166Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T22:53:54Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:38:06Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"f0863d79-e3af-418a-9359-0d566ed11d79","accessControl_ssim":["cd12bbf9-7d61-4bb8-b0ec-c348cf646d97"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Christo-cybernetic therapy: a cognitive assault on depression"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T22:53:53Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:59:49Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["fa6fd069-1b30-4457-bee9-9a537b561eb1"],"hasLease_ssim":["7c216fdf-3dcf-4f06-a162-a257b04b0e59"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Reformed Theological Seminary"],"year_tesim":["1985"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Warren Gregory Terry"],"publisher_tesim":["Reformed Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Pastoral psychology","Depression, Mental","Pastoral counseling"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Christo-cybernetic therapy was designed as a cognitve assault on depression in the lives of adult Christians.
