The author's ministry context is a moderately sized American Baptist congregation in east-central Pennsylvania where he preached several sermons incorporating various types of self-disclosure.  Congregational listeners verified the validity of the project thesis through feedback via questionnaires and group discussion with the author. The research includes comparing sermon content and style, and comparing sermon evaluation surveys of the two sermons by the overseas-born and American-born congregations.
