Research was done in current theory about the use and effectiveness of the medium, the situation in small-town America, the views of the leadership of the church about goals for the program; a random survey was taken to determine the composition of the present audience. Data gathered are the results of the evauation of a four month program for an alcohol prevention project.  Thirty two adults made up the target group.  Subjects were pre- and post-tested on the following variables:  building bonds, mobilizing coalitions, increasing awareness in skills and resources and mobilizing family and extended family. Results indicated that the program had a significant positive impact on the target subjects in reference to all variables tested.
