Christian families are losing children to the world at a startling pace. The question of who is responsible for the discipleship of children does not receive enough attention. In practice, churches have looked to serve families by performing this function. This research addresses parents’ roles and responsibilities. Among Christians, there can be an inconsistency between doctrine and practice. Children are abandoning Christianity later in life, and many parents are struggling to fulfill their call to nurture their children in the faith. A multitude of measures are being undertaken by faithful congregations to avert the crisis in families. Genesis 1, Deuteronomy 6, Psalm 78, Ephesians 6, and the Pastoral Epistles lay the expectation that parents will function as the primary disciple makers for children. With the concept of sphere sovereignty and more, Abraham Kuyper offers unique insights into this conversation. After examining the current literature and models for family ministry in churches, the field research explores the ministry models of three particular churches on this issue. Each ministry model brings unique biblical approaches in their endeavor to ensure the faith “once for all delivered to saints” is passed to succeeding generations. Each model also faces challenges unique to the approach they have adopted. This research proposes a new “Every Square Inch” discipleship model. The model enables the family and the church to carry out their respective roles while avoiding abrogating the responsibilities given to other parties. This analysis and model are intended to equip Basswood Church in Knoxville, TN in their efforts to see faithful disciples formed in the next generation."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791128725080768512,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:04:22.487Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T19:05:28Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T01:43:00Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"0bd84e78-51b9-4489-9214-867025efcc06","accessControl_ssim":["5c6ad1ef-6d52-444d-9332-4c16a28f1e8d"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["From Disorientation to Reorientation: Introducing Theological Worlds to Enhance the Sense of Spiritual Support among Selected Students at Landmark Christian School"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T19:05:27Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T22:27:03Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["a99c908f-987e-447f-9ee9-069135d12845"],"hasLease_ssim":["1e49523f-4871-495e-ade7-9a4eb7f72e9c"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Mercer University, McAfee School of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["Larry McSwain Ph.D.","Graham Walker Ph.D."],"year_tesim":["2020"],"location_tesim":["Georgia","United States"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. For many Christian teenagers, this disruption affects their faith, creating a period of disorientation. Previously, these young people assumed the faith of their parents, but adolescence opens the door to rethink and reassess those commitments. Unless they sense a personal, vital connection to their faith, they will likely move away from it in the future. This study introduced a group of twelfth-grade students at Landmark Christian School to W. Paul Jones’ concept of Theological Worlds. The researcher expected to learn what difference it makes for Christian adolescents who are experiencing a time of transition in their religious lives to consider which Theological Worlds they and others inhabit. The students were selected based upon their designation as “Transitional” by the Spiritual Experience Index – Revised (SEI-R). The project consisted of six weekly meetings with the group of thirteen participants. During each forty-five-minute meeting, different aspects of each Theological World were introduced through scripture, songs, and videos. Participants then recorded their reflections about what they had seen and heard. After finishing the six meetings, participants completed the SEI-R again to measure if any difference was made. Eleven out of the thirteen indicated an increased sense of support related to their faith. The average sense of support among the entire group had risen by almost nine percent. Follow-up interviews with the participants confirmed the accuracy of the data and brought further clarity to the factors that contributed to the increased scores. Among those factors was the sense that they were not alone in the ways they experience and express their faith. This thesis concludes by suggesting several ways that these findings can be applied both at and beyond Landmark Christian School to help adolescents move from disorientation to reorientation around the topic of faith."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"related_url_tesim":["http://hdl.handle.net/10898/12350"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799715219443810304,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T01:43:01.628Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T17:28:37Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:42:30Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"f8251d46-35c8-471d-b0ef-9910e5e311fa","accessControl_ssim":["cd0e6d89-d8cb-4419-b2a0-035e52923508"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Characteristics of apostolicity: yesterday and today"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T17:28:36Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T05:13:06Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["aee2636b-4471-45ef-ae2b-92e63cb3527d"],"hasLease_ssim":["b1710c7e-a7e1-4b5d-b4d9-508cc1ecd99e"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry (Ambridge, PA)"],"advisor_tesim":["Peter W Walker"],"year_tesim":["2016"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Jonathan R Tagg"],"publisher_tesim":["Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry (Ambridge, PA)"],"subject_tesim":["Church--Apostolicity","Bible. Additionally they spent time discussing their experiences with these various forms of prayer and the impact it had on their awareness of Christ in and around them in their daily lives."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791129959056539648,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:23:59.297Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":5,"label":"Unknown"},{"value":"D.Min.
