The author proposes that the fundamental secular belief that there is no external being called 'God' is consistent with the underlying assumptions of contemporary western culture, and must be seriously addressed by the religious community if evangelism of our culture is to be effective.  The author proposes that this secular world view is a normal development in religious experience, and suggests how it can be an adequate vehicle to express religious Initially 28 people wereinterviewed twice, subsequently 6 people were studied in depth.  The results confirmed a relationship between doubt causation and principal other in one's past.  The project explored the relationship between doubt types (rational, emotional and unconscious) and doubt causation. Hymns sung during a two-year period were analyzed and described using standard categories of systematic theology.  The study concluded that both churches' hymnodies demonstrated comprehensive theological development in the key areas of belief. While the hymnodies' teachings are biblical, several areas were noted where discrepancies might have occurred between people's beliefs and the beliefs they expressed in their singing. A quantitative, descriptive method of research using a mailed questionnaire was employed.  Many differences were found. The research methodology was guided interviews in the Norontario area of the BCOQ and questionnaires in the Hermosa area.  The number one single priority need in almost every demographic category was personal spiritual development. Therefore, the emphasis upon ethical culture and the practice of a faithful witness are closely related. The objective of the work is to address stress among clergy by developing collegial support and clarifying participant's visions of ministry. The programme is designed to run for six sessions, each lasting a full day. The author uses qualitative research methodology to describe and evaluate the experience of two groups who used the programme.
