After surveying the perceived spiritual formation needs of students in one seminary, four teaching/learning activities were designed and implemented.  Although the whole project was carried out within a period of only eight weeks, there was a favorable response to the learning experiences and some progress in the use of spiritual disciplines was revealed. Six lessons were developed from a study of the moral teachings of A. M. Hills, an Oberlin College graduate who became a leading Nazarene educator and evangelist.  Posttest results indicate the lessons had the desired results. An instrument of evaluation consisting of interviews with principals and questionnaires of students and alumni was prepared and administered. The findings were analyzed.  It was observed that since institutional integration was not possible, nor advisable, the best way to cooperate and share resources would be to suggest degree program integration. This would assist to integrate knowledge, experience, and practical skills in a balanced way. It observes that problems arise in both doctrine and practice since the polity of the Church of God is congregational and autonomous, and nonecclesiastical government a vital aspect of the Church of God heritage. The objective is to assist the adult student in approaching John Wesley's contribution to spiritual growth and help him utilize the methods and means offered.  An adult Free Methodist Sunday school class served as the field setting for a pretest inventory, three lessons, posttest inventory, and interview.  Strengths and needs from the pretest determined the lessons' focuses. The objective of the project is to implement church growth concepts to help achieve spiritual and numerical growth of the churches of the district.  This study of church growth concepts revealed that new churches represent the best approach for reaching and assimilating people not actively involved in any congregation. A pilot study involving church board members was designed.  A spiritual formation inventory was administered to gain the subjects self-perceptions of their spiritual formation needs.  Based upon the inventory results, a series of educational exercises was developed and taught to the board members. The board members indicated in their postinstruction responses increased desire and intention to pursue systematic spiritual development.
