Clients from Denton State School attend these churches.  The chaplain at Denton State School prepares the curriculum and teaches a series of four classes at each congregation. The design involved trustees as validators of selected words and of the content developed.  Thirty words-expressions were identified and developed as emanating out of Blueprints, a Catholic school leadership renewal process situated in western Canada.  This paper includes an extensive comparison (written in French) of Alberta's vocabulary with that of a sister province, Quebec. The church has increased from a new work in August of 1980 to 10,000 participants by August of 1985.  Its growth has come about largely through the extraordinary ability of pastor Tim Timmons to communicate to young, unchurched middle-class Americans and the church's highly organized commitment to forming small group ministries to meet the various needs of those who attend the church. The author hypothesized that this might be accomplished by substituting three rites of spiritual passage for the customary infant baptism and confirmation.  Drawing on the liturgies of the Roman Catholic, Lutheran, and United Church of Canada and the work of developmental psychologists he designed three rites of passage and tested them in his congregation over a period of two years. The project examined theological presuppositions, descriptions of each enrichment program, evaluations of the results of each program, and many of the sources for marriage enrichment.  The theological presuppositions came out of the examination of selected scriptures, and how Baptists have hisorically interpreted those in their statements of faith.  The evaluation compared the scores of a pre-session and post-session 'marital communication inventory'.  These scores indicated areas of improvement in communication.
