The project director conducted an internal assessment of the congregation of Stone Ridge Baptist Church including new members, regular attenders, and guests and identified assimilation deficiencies among the congregation of Stone Ridge Baptist Church. The project director researched three churches that possess effective assimilation strategies to identify best practices of assimilation. The project director recruited a strategy planning team, which consisted of seven members that assisted him in the development of an assimilation strategy using the assimilation deficiencies discovered and the best practices of assimilation identified. He presented the completed assimilation strategy to the leadership team of Stone Ridge Baptist Church for approval. North Oxford Baptist Church employed only a modest  approach to guest impressions, intentional guest hospitality, and guest follow-up prior to the project. As such, a more robust guest care ministry that both enhanced the hospitality environment and encouraged guests to take next assimilation steps toward becoming contributing members of the church was necessary. The project director accomplished three primary goals. The first goal was to research the fields of assimilation and hospitality to identify best practices and essential competencies of guest care ministries. Among these researching findings, the project highlighted skills in the areas of parking lot impressions, welcome center and worship center practices, and follow up strategies. The second goal was to design a curriculum that equipped selected team leaders in these identified best practices and essential competencies of guest care ministry. The final goal was to then equip those selected team leaders with the best practices and essential competencies of guest care ministry. The internal demographics of newcomers, attenders, and new members were explored in order to identify common characteristics. It investigated best practices in assimilation and developed an assimilation strategy which was approved by the deacons of the church.There had been no strategy in place at First Baptist Church, therefore, the church had no current expectation of assimilation. After years of decline and a recent period of initial revitalization, an assimilation strategy was needed to provide a clear pathway for newcomers, attenders, and new members of the church. First Baptist Church of Minneoloa is a sixty-year-old church that grew in membership during the late nineteen seventies into the nineteen nineties. After that period of growth, the church began to lose members. Through research and communication with a select group of church members, a four=part strategy proposal was created and presented to the church. The strategy focused on the church becoming more invitational, improving a guest’s first visit, changing stereotypical perceptions and perspectives, and hearing the concerns of millennial families. The final objective was to equip selected leaders of Fellowship of Montgomery in essential assimilation skills. The project director enlisted several experts in various areas to evaluate goals. He employed assessment instruments, including pretest, posttest, rubrics, reports, and an annotated bibliography, to evaluate the product and outcomes.
