The project director used the strategy model to fulfill the purpose of this project. The project director conducted an internal audit on selected small groups at First Baptist Church, Smithville, Tennessee, to evaluate their level of mission engagement. The project director created an annotated bibliography of current mission resources. Upon completing the annotated bibliography, the project director compiled a report of best practices based on the annotated bibliography and interviews of mission leaders in local churches, the state convention, and the denomination. The project director recruited and led a strategy team through a series of mission trainings and strategy sessions to create a multigenerational mission engagement strategy. To accomplish the goals of this project, the project director utilized various methods to measure achievement. This included evaluations, tests, expert evaluators, and designated groups within the church. The strategy was developed and approved for implementation. The second phase of this project resulted in using information derived from phase one research to develop equipping curriculum. The curriculum educated the leadership team in the field of biblical worship as well as the characteristics and formative events that define the four primary adult generations present at Summit baptist Church. The third phase of this project resulted in expanding the music leadership team to include members of every adult generation at Summit, presenting the curriculum to the team, and equipping the team to function as a worship planning team. The first phase explored the fields of multigenerational worship and strategic planning. The first part of the second phase required the project director to equip the pastoral staff of FBCM in the basic skills of strategic planning and to inform them concerning the dynamics of multigenerational worship. The second part of the second phase required the project director to lead the pastoral staff team to develop a strategy to transition FBCM from venue worship to a multigenerational worship model. Phase three resulted in the deacon fellowship and church council of FBCM approving the strategic plan and the time line for implementation.
