So the project director researched and studied the theory and practical side of this subject. By using the enhanced and studies expository preaching, the project director came up with sermons that reflected the church members present situations and the reality.The expository sermons tried to awaken the Augusta church members, who are living in the post-modernism world and the religious pluralism. Also emphasized about the dangers of the post-modernism generation by helping the Augusta church members that they need to trust the absolute authority of God and that the Word of God should be the center of their life. In order to achieve this goal, the project director used the Old Testament Book of Judges as the background of the messages. The project progressed through three phases: research, writing, and preaching. By researching the field of doctrinal preaching, the director identified a list of five best practices of doctrinal preaching. The director then employed these practices in writing a series of four sermons on the doctrine of local church membership. After writing the sermons, the director preached the sermon series at FBC. The first phase of the project involved research to identify the competencies essential to leading sermon-based small groups in the Cornerstone Community Church context for the purpose of disipleship. The research included extensive reading as well as interviewing multiple ministry leaders experienced in the field of sermon-based small groups. The second phase of the project synthesized the research to produce a curriculum designed to equip small group leaders with the competencies identified. In the final phase of the project selected small group leaders from Cornerstone Community Church were equipped with the essential competencies to lead sermon-based small groups. The project director studied key resources in order to determine the essential elements of an evangelistic preaching model and established a standard of research. The project director submitted the essential elements and the standard of research for review to experts in evangelistic preaching. Following the identification of the essential elements of an evangelistic preaching model, the project director developed four sermons based on the evangelistic preaching model. The project director then preached the sermons to the congregation of The Beginnings Church.
