The project director will research the field of church revitalization to determine the best practices for developing a revitalization strategy, then the project director will train the church council and other leaders to develop a revitalization strategy.  The project director will present the completed strategy to the church for approval during a business meeting.  Experts in the field of church revitalization will be used to evaluate the process and finalized strategy. The director studied the Bible, theological resources, and other healthy church practices to determine healthy indicators and best practices.  The project director developed a health strategy with the support of church members input. In this project in ministry, the project director researched fields of spiritual formation and family ministry, synthesizing his research into a listing of five personal and faith building essential skills, and created an experiential curriculum. In the first phase, the project director administrated a survey to former summer staff and incoming staff.  From the gathered data, he developed a spiritual formation profile.  IN phase two, the project director researched the area of spiritual formation to discover core practices.  He then compiled a report of best practices for spiriutal formation.  The project director began phase three by constructing a strategy deelopment plan.  Then he assembled a strategy team.  Utilizing the profile data and best practice report, the strategy team developed a spiritula formation strategy for summer staff. Statistics tell us that the vast majority of incarcerated men will be divorced either while they are in prison, or within the first year after their release.  The marital issues inmates face often are the same mindset that led to theri criminal thinking and ultimate incarceration.  Thus, if the project director can assist the men in divorce recovery, he can also assist them in becoming productive members of society who are equipped to live healthy lives. The purpose of this project was to develop a ministry evangelism strategy for Ridglea Heights Baptist Church, Escatawpa, Mississippi. The project was focused upon four main phases. First, the project director researched contemporary practices of evangelism ministry to determine what practices may be effective in the local community. Second, using demographic data and a local community needs survey, the project director and team analyzed the needs and lifestyles of the community in Escatawpa, Mississippi. Third, using a strategy team consisting of active church members, the project director developed a ministry evangelism strategy for Ridglea Heights Baptist Church in an effort to reach those in the local community who are not connected to another local church body. In 2011, Liberty Hill Baptist Church took a step toward racial reconciliation by joining the Southern Baptist Convention. Parishioners, some of whom migrated from the South, expressed concerns about joining 'that racist organization.' However, despite their concerns, Liberty Hill voted overwhelmingly to join the SBC. Buried in the pile of 1,145 resolutions from 1845 to 2017 are resolutions specifically impacting African Americans.
