The project director developed a training workshop utilizing input and research from experts in small group ministry. The first phase of the project involved research in effective small group ministry. Various books, articles, and web resources aided research. The second phase included the development of lesson plans for a five-session workshop with evaluation forms, tests, PowerPoint, and homework assignments. The five sessions covered clarifying the need of small groups, understanding small group dynamics, developing leaders, ministry multiplication, and insight into leading effective small groups. The final phase of the project involved the implementation of the workshop sessions and assignments. The project director equipped 15 selected leaders of First Baptist Church in essential truths of small group effectiveness. The first step in the process of equipping selected members of FBCT was conducting personal research in the field of orphan-care ministry.  The research involved exploring ministries in other churches and orphan-care ministries and insight from books which are orphan-care based.  Further research included exploring curriculum from orphan-care agencies and interviewing individuals who have personal experience with caring for orphans. The project director developed an equipping seminar and faciliated the presentation of the seminar with selected individuals from FBCT to equip them for orphan-care ministry. Recognizing the inevitability of conflict, it is essential for Christians to navigate through conflict in a biblical manner. This project researched the field of conflict management and identified biblical passages that enabled the project director to develop a curriculum for the purpose of training the deacons. The deacons are eleven men, chosen by the congregation for the purpose of protecting unity and ministering the needs of the church body. The deacons participated in seven hours of training that led them to develop a biblical perspective and approach to managing conflict. This training included a variety of teaching techniques and evaluations. Research was compiled from various contexts of churches and ministries. The transmission of this information was in the form of a workshop to a specific enlisted group of church leaders to equip them with models of adult discipleship they can employ in their ministry context. Twelve church leaders participated in the seminar.
