The project prepares and presents three sermons 'beyond words' to churched and to unchurched persons. Each group evaluates the sermons in a group setting and participates in personal interviews. Five out of seven members of the unchurched group experience significant encounters with God. Pastors are the most important variable; other significant factors include laypersons, fidelity, morale, locale, ethnicity, cultural conflicts, and personal conflicts.
