Attention is given to the need for intentionality in teaching and nurturing believers in the church.  Notice is given to the role of the pastor as teacher and disciple, spiritual growth and the biblical mandate for the people of God and the institutional church of God, and spiritual growth and the accountability of such in the church.  The practicum involved the participation of several groups of Tenth District AMEC.  The Sealy Circuit participated in a twelve-week Bible study series, 'Radical Christian Living,' clergy of the Tenth District participated in surveys and some in a four-week covenant group charged with developing a definition of 'spiritual maturity' and in describing the characteristics of a spiritually mature congregation. The first group designed and implemented a one-day voter registration drive in South Oak Cliff, registering 55 persons in Dallas County.
