The project explores the theological implications of Jung's effort to integrate the light and dark, the masculine and feminine, the conscious and unconscious aspects of the God image in treating the problem of evil. The project demonstrates how a monotheistic understanding of God might temper the dualistic tendency in the Christian tradition and thus bring wholeness to the individual's understanding of God, self, and community. This project describes programs offered at The Woman's Center of First United Methodist Church, Richardson, Texas.  The programs include methods of self exploration and sharing that enable women to feel affirmed, accepted and connected to themselves, each other and God. Reflection reveals that techniques and ideas influenced by Jungian psychology, a participatory leadership style, and a warm homelike environment cooperatively enable transformation.
