The first group designed and implemented a one-day voter registration drive in South Oak Cliff, registering 55 persons in Dallas County. The writer presents both theological and educational theory as the basis for the thesis.  He participated in a congregation involved in an extensive program of social service and taught two groups concerning the nature and mission of the church.  The purpose of the classes was to help members develop more understanding of the church in general and of the outreach program of their own congregation in particular.  The writer hoped to encourage class members toward more intentional church membership (discipleship).  There was some evidence that greater understanding did occur; the follow-up of the teaching did not provide opportunity to observe whether more intentional membership resulted.  He presents basic principles based on the study for his own situation in Indonesia."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["9d359def-dc0f-4ac7-a978-8df771bc0984"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127324815523840,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:42:07.090Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":3,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Resource Type"},{"name":"creator_sim","items":[{"value":"Nazarius Rumpak","hits":1,"label":"Nazarius Rumpak"},{"value":"Scott W Endress","hits":1,"label":"Scott W Endress"},{"value":"Thomas William Spann","hits":1,"label":"Thomas William Spann"}],"label":"Creator Sim"},{"name":"contributor_sim","items":[],"label":"Contributor"},{"name":"keyword_sim","items":[],"label":"Keyword"},{"name":"subject_sim","items":[{"value":"Social action","hits":3,"label":"Social action"},{"value":"Christian education of adults","hits":2,"label":"Christian education of adults"},{"value":"African Americans--Religion","hits":1,"label":"African Americans--Religion"},{"value":"African Methodist Episcopal Church","hits":1,"label":"African Methodist Episcopal Church"},{"value":"Church and social problems--Methodist Church","hits":1,"label":"Church and social problems--Methodist Church"},{"value":"First Presbyterian Church (Dallas, Tex)","hits":1,"label":"First Presbyterian Church (Dallas, Tex)"}],"label":"Subject"},{"name":"location_sim","items":[],"label":"Location"},{"name":"language_sim","items":[{"value":"English","hits":3,"label":"English"}],"label":"Language"},{"name":"publisher_sim","items":[{"value":"Perkins School of Theology Southern Methodist University","hits":3,"label":"Perkins School of Theology Southern Methodist University"}],"label":"Publisher"},{"name":"date_created_sim","items":[],"label":"Date Created"},{"name":"types_sim","items":[{"value":"Text","hits":3,"label":"Text"}],"label":"Type"},{"name":"year_sim","items":[{"value":"1981","hits":1,"label":"1981"},{"value":"1983","hits":1,"label":"1983"},{"value":"1997","hits":1,"label":"1997"}],"label":"Year"},{"name":"format_sim","items":[],"label":"Format"},{"name":"member_of_collections_ssim","items":[{"value":"Perkins School of Theology","hits":3,"label":"Perkins School of Theology"}],"label":"Collections"},{"name":"degree_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":3,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Degree"},{"name":"discipline_sim","items":[],"label":"Discipline"},{"name":"degree_granting_institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Perkins School of Theology","hits":3,"label":"Perkins School of Theology"}],"label":"Degree Granting Institution"},{"name":"department_sim","items":[],"label":"Department"},{"name":"funder_name_sim","items":[],"label":"Funder Name"},{"name":"event_title_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Title"},{"name":"event_date_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Date"},{"name":"institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Atla RIM","hits":3,"label":"Atla RIM"}],"label":"Host Institution"}],"pages":{"current_page":1,"next_page":null,"prev_page":null,"total_pages":1,"limit_value":10,"offset_value":0,"total_count":3,"first_page?":true,"last_page?":true}}}
