The biblical reference for the project came from Jeremiah 36.  The participants in the program were lay persons from St Luke's Episcopal Church, Mobile, Alabama.  They committed themselves to read selected passages from Holy Scripture, to reflect upon the same through contemplation and to write journal entries related to the experience.  Two questionnaires provided empirical data on the project, which lasted 30 days.  At the conclusion the participants made personal assessments of their own spiritual growth."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31bd5819-b5a3-4928-96d5-b581f38b637b"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791126959147712512,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:36:18.362Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T22:53:46Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:45:42Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"cc9a031c-9430-4fc3-810e-bf73ae879a63","accessControl_ssim":["d1f0faf8-7f4c-4f93-843f-bf4be755841b"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A guide for spiritual directors of spiritual formation (the Minn Multiphasic Personality Inventory as an indicator of contemplative prayer)"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T22:53:40Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:00:28Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["ba3841b0-2c50-4ba4-897f-b4afdc0c94da"],"hasLease_ssim":["64b14ceb-7b0c-4527-98f5-0f2c284734bf"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Harjie Likins"],"year_tesim":["1986"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Jude W Brady"],"keyword_tesim":["Tests and measurements in religion"],"publisher_tesim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Spiritual direction","Contemplation","Prayer","Psychometrics"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The thesis of this project is that contemplative prayer as described in Catholic theological writings is able to be attained and maintained by all persons regardless of personality and-or vocation.  A complex statistical study involving the chi square was used to determine the accuracy of the thesis.  A testing procedure employing the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory and the Spiritual Orientation Profile was administered to 100 lay people and 100 clergy persons and the personalities and prayer lives were examined.  The results clearly indicated that the author's thesis was true; therefore, null hypothesis was accepted: that there is no difference between personality and-or vocation and the capacity to attain a high level of prayer."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31bd5819-b5a3-4928-96d5-b581f38b637b"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127556262461440,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:45:47.815Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":3,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Resource Type"},{"name":"creator_sim","items":[{"value":"Dwight Eugene Ogier","hits":1,"label":"Dwight Eugene Ogier"},{"value":"Jude W Brady","hits":1,"label":"Jude W Brady"},{"value":"Thomas C Howell","hits":1,"label":"Thomas C Howell"}],"label":"Creator Sim"},{"name":"contributor_sim","items":[],"label":"Contributor"},{"name":"keyword_sim","items":[{"value":"Tests and measurements in religion","hits":1,"label":"Tests and measurements in religion"}],"label":"Keyword"},{"name":"subject_sim","items":[{"value":"Contemplation","hits":3,"label":"Contemplation"},{"value":"Spiritual direction","hits":2,"label":"Spiritual direction"},{"value":"Diaries","hits":1,"label":"Diaries"},{"value":"Education--Philosophy","hits":1,"label":"Education--Philosophy"},{"value":"Prayer","hits":1,"label":"Prayer"},{"value":"Psychometrics","hits":1,"label":"Psychometrics"}],"label":"Subject"},{"name":"location_sim","items":[],"label":"Location"},{"name":"language_sim","items":[{"value":"English","hits":3,"label":"English"}],"label":"Language"},{"name":"publisher_sim","items":[{"value":"Pittsburgh Theological Seminary","hits":3,"label":"Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Publisher"},{"name":"date_created_sim","items":[],"label":"Date Created"},{"name":"types_sim","items":[{"value":"Text","hits":3,"label":"Text"}],"label":"Type"},{"name":"year_sim","items":[{"value":"1986","hits":1,"label":"1986"},{"value":"1989","hits":1,"label":"1989"},{"value":"2017","hits":1,"label":"2017"}],"label":"Year"},{"name":"format_sim","items":[],"label":"Format"},{"name":"member_of_collections_ssim","items":[{"value":"Pittsburgh Theological Seminary","hits":3,"label":"Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Collections"},{"name":"degree_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":3,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Degree"},{"name":"discipline_sim","items":[],"label":"Discipline"},{"name":"degree_granting_institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Pittsburgh Theological Seminary","hits":3,"label":"Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Degree Granting Institution"},{"name":"department_sim","items":[],"label":"Department"},{"name":"funder_name_sim","items":[],"label":"Funder Name"},{"name":"event_title_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Title"},{"name":"event_date_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Date"},{"name":"institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Atla RIM","hits":3,"label":"Atla RIM"}],"label":"Host Institution"}],"pages":{"current_page":1,"next_page":null,"prev_page":null,"total_pages":1,"limit_value":10,"offset_value":0,"total_count":3,"first_page?":true,"last_page?":true}}}
