In order to determine the needs of singles, data was collected from two sources.  The first source was a survey of literature on the subject and the second source was from singles, themselves, through open-ended interviews.  An analysis of a theological perspective of singleness was also developed.  The design for ministry was then developed from these sources of data. Relying on the tenants of process theology the author developed a process for dissolving the stuckness of this place in relationship to ministry.  This process involved training members of the congregation to interview persons about their perceptions of the history of Twelve Apostles Church. The project included a face-to-face interview with most members of the congregation to obtain member responses concerning their own Christian participation and needs, together with their views of the life of the congregation and work of its leadership.  All of this was compared with the results of a major biblical study about the church.
