The church has endured years of decline and internal strife.Incorporating data collected from congregational surveys, focus group feedback, and personal interviews, this study demonstrates that having the Lord’s Supper every week for twelve weeks resulted in a measurable improvement in the congregation’s sense of unity, as well as an increased sense of God’s presence in the worship services. Covenant groups consist of approximately eight to ten people of various ages and life experiences from the community and the congregation. Covenant groups seek to fulfill the church's mission of transforming people's lives through Jesus Christ. The general thesis of the project is that intentional covenant groups form people into loving and serving communities of Christians."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31bd5819-b5a3-4928-96d5-b581f38b637b"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127617215135744,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:46:45.943Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T09:13:29Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:48:37Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"ee8263c0-da4e-4c0c-9196-c3e4ed7e86c7","accessControl_ssim":["8b76f0c8-0b50-433a-a72c-4459b2a7dbdb"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Ministry with a new minority: fostering male spirituality in a small group setting"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T09:13:29Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:56:33Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["63054531-044d-4ee9-bef7-c9d850ddca5b"],"hasLease_ssim":["546e49d1-4e33-4cbf-9e6d-33d9eb305d73"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Kent Ira Groff"],"year_tesim":["2004"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["David R Clark"],"publisher_tesim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Interpersonal relations","Spiritual formation","Small groups","Church work with men"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project developed two series of small group meetings for interested men of the Fort Burd United Presbyterian Church of Brownsville, Pa., where women outnumber men by two to one.
