The aim of the course is to make students aware of the basic beliefs, practices, values, and general ethos of Protestants, Roman Catholics, and the Orthodox in order to provide a context for ecclesiological, ecumenical understanding. The focus is a phenomenological approach that takes seriously the theology of the different traditions from their own particular perspectives. Differences are discussed along with similarities.
