The model introduced traditional Christian ideas of faith, grace, hope, mercy and salvation into the critical issues faced by these young adults.  This model permitted the sermon to address the tensions involved in the interactive forces and elements faced by these young adults.  This preaching model addresses contemporary issues biblically to enable young adults to hear the call to commit their lives to the gospel of Jesus Christ.  A sample group in the age range 30-35 heard four sermons developed and preached by the author.  Each participant filled out a questionnaire after the sermon to measure their responses to the critical issues and Christian themes raised in the model. The role of the pastor is presider; liturgy being a paradigm.  This design removes the parish council from the concept of a board of directors setting policy. Aggressively taking advantage of the privilege of being invited into people's homes and lives, the author explored Scripture, tradition, and church history to understand the importance of pastoral visitation.  Questionnaires were sent to pastors and clerks of session on Long Island to understand their involvement in various areas of pastoral ministry.  Nine months were spent in visitation with emphasis on twenty-five individuals or families.  Some of these people were later interviewed to see if they valued the visits. Until this time, the church had never had a formal structure, but instead relied upon the leading of the Spirit.  Drawing upon input from the congregation, the project sought to develop a theological, congregational and denominational (movement) foundation.  The project addresses the background of the problem and need for structure, the theological and administrative issues, and the methodology of accomplishing the task.  Evaluation of the finished project revealed the need, congregational support and enthusiasm for the end product.
