A video tape tool was produced for elders to use with baptismal candidates or parents of infants, and field-tested.  Results: A video instrument can be an effective tool for member ministry in a video-oriented society, developing theological awareness and cohesiveness among church members. The methodology of this dissertation/project includes the formulation of a theology of the sabbath, based on the study and reflection on pertinent theological, biblical and historical studies of the sabbath and its life-impinging applications.  Further, special study is given to the contact that the sabbath makes with other kinds of reflection.  Finally, a series of lectures was developed, presented and evaluated. This study concentrates on six broad theological sabbath themes: holy time, creation, redemption/liberation, sovereignty, equality, and rest.  These themes present the grace of God in a life-impinging manner.  The sabbath serves a sacramental function."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["38714359-d032-4ed0-ae3f-cb82c8f65a92"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799716565562687488,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:04:25.388Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":4,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Resource Type"},{"name":"creator_sim","items":[{"value":"Donald J Barnes","hits":1,"label":"Donald J Barnes"},{"value":"Douglas Robertson","hits":1,"label":"Douglas Robertson"},{"value":"Myron J Kaufman","hits":1,"label":"Myron J Kaufman"},{"value":"Robert Glen Walkley","hits":1,"label":"Robert Glen Walkley"}],"label":"Creator Sim"},{"name":"contributor_sim","items":[],"label":"Contributor"},{"name":"keyword_sim","items":[],"label":"Keyword"},{"name":"subject_sim","items":[{"value":"Christian life","hits":4,"label":"Christian life"},{"value":"Assimilation (Sociology)","hits":1,"label":"Assimilation (Sociology)"},{"value":"Baptism","hits":1,"label":"Baptism"},{"value":"Church work","hits":1,"label":"Church work"},{"value":"Congregations","hits":1,"label":"Congregations"},{"value":"Ego (Psychology)","hits":1,"label":"Ego (Psychology)"}],"label":"Subject"},{"name":"location_sim","items":[],"label":"Location"},{"name":"language_sim","items":[{"value":"English","hits":4,"label":"English"}],"label":"Language"},{"name":"publisher_sim","items":[{"value":"San Francisco Theological Seminary","hits":4,"label":"San Francisco Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Publisher"},{"name":"date_created_sim","items":[],"label":"Date Created"},{"name":"types_sim","items":[{"value":"Text","hits":4,"label":"Text"}],"label":"Type"},{"name":"year_sim","items":[{"value":"1984","hits":1,"label":"1984"},{"value":"1986","hits":1,"label":"1986"},{"value":"1993","hits":1,"label":"1993"},{"value":"1994","hits":1,"label":"1994"}],"label":"Year"},{"name":"format_sim","items":[],"label":"Format"},{"name":"member_of_collections_ssim","items":[{"value":"San Francisco Theological Seminary","hits":4,"label":"San Francisco Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Collections"},{"name":"degree_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":4,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Degree"},{"name":"discipline_sim","items":[],"label":"Discipline"},{"name":"degree_granting_institution_sim","items":[{"value":"San Francisco Theological Seminary","hits":4,"label":"San Francisco Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Degree Granting Institution"},{"name":"department_sim","items":[],"label":"Department"},{"name":"funder_name_sim","items":[],"label":"Funder Name"},{"name":"event_title_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Title"},{"name":"event_date_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Date"},{"name":"institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Atla RIM","hits":4,"label":"Atla RIM"}],"label":"Host Institution"}],"pages":{"current_page":1,"next_page":null,"prev_page":null,"total_pages":1,"limit_value":10,"offset_value":0,"total_count":4,"first_page?":true,"last_page?":true}}}
