Using resources from other authors, the author discusses: the relation between Christ and culture; how Chinese and Chinese culture are marginalized; the problems of assimilation, adaptation, and integration of the Chinese; and the Anglican Church's apathy toward multiculturalism. The author introduces his 'kaleidoscope' image as an alternative to the 'melting pot' or 'mosaic' models. Research was made into the biblical and theological dimensions of pluralism, and the types, problems and needs of minority groups in the school.  A report to college authorities recommended educational strategies, and approaches in worship, religious activities and pastoral care. Sometimes these differences cause creative and positive interactions, at other times friction and turmoil.  This thesis attempts to look at diversity in the church from several perspectives--biblical, theological, and behavioral science--and to develop a set of strategies for making diversity a positive element in a particular congregation. These methods were introduced into an existing anti-racism workshop.  Hypotheses were tested (with control and test groups) which predicted that using values clarification methods would result in more positive statements; fewer hostile statements; and more positive attitudes toward Native Americans.  All hypotheses comparing control and test groups were rejected.
