Tradition--the theology and history of worship--helps to insure that worship is Christian; attention to culture helps Christian worship to be hospitable. Programs expressing hospitality are reflected upon alongside the teaching of Jesus, the life of the early church, the traditions and experience of the Uniting Church in Australia and the socio-cultural context of the study, in order to develop a 'pilot project' model of Christian hospitality as an alternative to prevailing ministry/mission models.
