This model involves seven biblical factors that function together in bringing God's people back to him in transformation and restoration. Chapter 1 introduces the thesis in the context of the background study and methodology and lays the foundation for the research dissertation. Chapter 2 exegetes the specific verses in Joel 1 and 2 that provide the model for Spiritual Awakening. Chapter 3 investigates whether the seven factors were present in the Four Great Awakenings in Early America from 1740 to the beginning of the 20th Century. Chapter 4 records the quantitative data from a survey of Texas Baptist Churches in the North Central Texas Council of Governments 16 county region and evaluates the critical interviews with the five members of the Solemn Assembly Team. The 'spirit' passages were selected by recognizing the literacy device of leitwart in the narrative text of 1 Samuel 10:1-16, 11:5-7, 16:1-23, 18:10-16, and 19:8-2. A sample of pneumatological preaching throughout history are analyzed. Relevant pneumatology is also discussed. Two analytical techniques are used. One is a personal analysis. The second technique provides a third-party evaluation from a eight person pastor focus group. After analyzing both methods and comparing the focus group data, the results showed that either method was effective in producing Christ centered sermons. While Greidenus had the slight edge oven chapell for clarity and effectiveness, chapell had the slight edge in practicality. The crux is that the name of God (i.e., YHWH) is revealed. Ontologically speaking, 'God speaks' is neither an Old Testament historical phenomenon, nor a Christ-event, but rather it is 'YHWH speaks' who timelessly and unchangeably reveals the reality of his Being and Word. It demonstrated the need for theologically conservative women to write and teach other women how to study the Bible in a way faithful to principles of interpretation. The importance of authorial intent is emphasized rather than reader-centered approaches. The instruction of Paul in Titus 2:3-5 as applied to gender-specific hermeneutic suggests that offering women skills for interpretation envisions their unique learning styles and affirms Paul's instruction. Women should use hermeneutical principles of context, exegesis, theological analysis and genre applying these to use by women. Factors related to women teaching women include: intimacy, emotional connection, relationships, details, and the power of small group settings.
