Matthew"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Entering the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program (MPCP), a voucher program, enabled Wisconsin Lutheran High School (WLHS) to become a multi-ethnic Christian high school, fulfilling the Great Commission's call to 'make disciples of all nations' (Matt. 28:19) while offering its students the many benefits of ethnic diversity. In order to assist in the recruitment of a balanced multi-ethnic student body, this project explores the positive benefits from the majority culture perspective of Caucasian parents whose students attended WLHS in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.The project's biblical exploration centers on the Great Commission's call for ethnic inclusion, as well as the biblical issues related to maintaining a healthy, multi-ethnic diversity in a high school. The review of contemporary literature explores the problem of school segregation; the demonstrable benefits of multi-ethnic schools for white students; the role parental perceptions play in school selection; and the special way a multi-ethnic Christian school can deal with racism and segregation as spiritual problems. Jesus summed up these as the two most important commands. The purpose of this project was three-fold: to explore how people understood what it means to practice loving God and others to determine the impact this has on their spiritual growth; to determine if Christians demonstrate a holistic approach to loving God, or instead have a primary or choose a preferred method to loving and drawing close to God; and last, to work with individuals and small groups of Christians to recognize the import and centrality of the commands. The project occurred in seven stages. A comparison of the information gathered from the focus-group research to the post-training survey indicated the success of the project. Nonetheless a finding emerged revealing that in general participants did not understand and pr  actice loving God and loving others in the manner prescribed and exhorted throughout Scripture. He perfectly modeled how to relate to people redemptively while not compromising in matters of truth and righteousness. This project details a process for enhancing leadership effectiveness by cultivating self-awareness among church leaders in regard to professional will and personal humility. It hypothesizes that orchestrating covenant relationships produce a benefit to a small group's relational health by restraining both harmful cultural values and weak human nature that dissuades people from nurturing resilient bonds. To promote the acceptance of covenant-making, a three-step process includes assessment, instruction and training, and implementation for a facilitator to follow based upon exegetical and theological proofs supported by supplemental sociology research. The assessment step was applied to a local church's small group program and evaluated. This study concerns itself with relationships and how intimacy, conflict, and communication affect codependent relationships. The study examines the Bible, analytical psychology, and traces relationships from biblical times to the present. The project presents a psycho-educational view, which combines and integrates psychology and religion. Combining the cognitive, affective, and spiritual, this project presents a curriculum that specifically speaks to individuals with poor skills in maintaining relationships due to codependent behavior patterns. The approach used is outlined and presented in a ten week intensive course. Utilizing the tenets of family therapy, education, and the Bible, the course assists participants in addressing and working through prior experiences that hinder the forming and maintaining of healthy relationships. The manual which was developed for this purpose was tested at the Salvation Army School for Officers' Training in Chicago, Illinois.  The manual was divided into three sections: 1. development of interpersonal relations; 2. a theological perspective of personality development; and 3. sources for dealing with behavioral difficulties.  The participants consisted of a group of thirteen students who had completed the prerequisite course in Introduction to Psychology and were in their final year of training.  They completed two examinations and several evaluation forms that provided data for the write-up of the project.  Other participants included five outside readers who made observations of the manual from the perspective of their particular expertise. This study concerns itself with the historical background of the country, the mission agencies, and the evolutionary process that brought us to where we are today.  This relationship, i.e., three mission agencies associated with one national church, suggests itself as a model for others to consider.  Although it is not without its flaws, it continues to serve as an acceptable vehicle for evangelization. Other models of a partnership nature are considered for comparison.  Certain cultural factors in the development of leadership styles are looked at.
