The initial church's understanding of Christ is encapsulated in passages scattered through the New Testament called Christological hymns. The project sought to discover whether a sermon series that unpacks and contextualizes the Christology found in these hymns will enhance college students' understanding of who Christ is, and why we serve him wholeheartedly. Entailed in the project were four courses taught over an 18-week period (e.g., Wholeness and Healing, New Testament Church Leadership), concurrent hands-on ministries, and mentoring relationships. One goal was to evaluate candidate shifts in Christ-formation and ministry functions within their respective groups. Rather than appearing to condone the abusive actions of a few by not openly discussing the subject, the church needs to give voice to those women as one means of helping them find their way into healing. The project summarized the major issues that affect these women, and offered ten Bible studies designed to assist them, addressing matters such as anger, guilt, shame, repentance, and forgiveness both from a biblical and a psychological perspective. These moments we might call altar moments. During the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries these moments were put into a strategy of evangelism. Revivalists and crusade evangelists, during this period, used the invitation to an altar of prayer as a way to solidify new found faith. During the Twenty-first Century, the altar call has fallen into disuse. Therefore, women's ministry leaders must learn how they can facilitate biblical mentoring relationships for emerging adult women. This project pursued this question through biblical, theological, and current literature in the field, and qualitative research involving emerging adult women and women's ministry leaders. The purpose of this project was to carefully study and succinctly define the qualifications for church leadership as described in 1 Tim 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Pet 5:1-3, and Matt 20:20-28 with an emphasis upon the church leader's Christ-like character development. I developed the lectures and taught them during a series of sessions in a Bible college course on Ecclesiology in Spanish. Given the relative scarcity of this pastoral work the project began with a defense of its propriety. Though church planting efforts have increased since the fall of the Berlin Wall, little fruit is evidenced. What are the best practices of healthy church plants in Poland, and what can be learned from them? From nine churches deemed healthy, had been planted since 2005, and had grown to more than 50 in attendance were selected as case study churches. Church health was assessed based on the four-selves model of self-propagating, self-governing, self-supporting, and self-theologizing.
