With an examination of existing literature the report began with a historical, theological, anthropological, and missiological prolegomena. The actual project consisted of forty-five in-depth interviews with three generations of Saxons from Kitchener-Waterloo and Aylmer, Ontario. The key conclusion of the research was that the role of the church has substantially deteriorated among all generations of Saxons. When older Saxons insisted on speaking German in club and church, they excluded their younger generation from participation and leadership. The project reviewed worldview, contextualization and biblical elements relating to making Irish disciples. The literature search conducted followed the development of Celtic spirituality along with two counter themes or antithetical elements, Christianity and the English in Ireland. Fifty-two questionnaires and three interviews of Irish were evaluated with the literature research to formulate and understanding of present day Celtic spirituality in western central Ireland. With a rationale in place for a hybrid church to meet on an alternate night, next came the planning and research phase, culminating in the launch of 'The Journey.' One year later 'The Journey' came to an abrupt end. What went wrong? This project aimed at encouraging Scripture reading in the Sunday worship service of C\u0026MA churches. It involved fifteen C\u0026MA pastors who used a three-month segment of a four-year Bible reading schedule, developed for this project. Each Sunday they read the assigned reading and material given to them to help them prepare for and introduce the reading. They then filled out a questionnaire, which attempted to evaluate their reactions and ideas concerning the three-month implementation period. They also filled out a short questionnaire three months after they completed the implementation period. This questionnaire sought to identify if they were still reading Scripture regularly in worship and why they were or were not continuing in this biblical practice. To start, healthy churches were observed and literature on discipleship was explored. A manual was created and put to use with church leadership and with a focus group of congregants. Yet many of these church members were well educated and some of these lay-leaders could be trained as lay-preachers. The objective of this project is to train and empower a group of lay-leaders to preach in the first generation Chinese immigrant churches. The project will conduct 16-20 sessions of training, some practical preaching opportunities, and the evaluations. A Biblical and sociological foundation for planting churches was established, followed by an examination of supportive existing literature. Recent demographics, supplemented with interviews of ministry and civic leaders, provided sociological support. The resulting strategy for planting churches in Wyoming included methods to provide spiritual empowerment, community evaluation, leader evaluation, leader equipping, leader empowerment, and parent partnerships. Seven new leaders and apprentices along with a host family carried the load of creating our desired result of connecting our church membership into small groups.
