Utilizing a qualitative research design twelve missionaries were interviewed from different demographic groups. Security concerns, desire for a close relationship, and identity issues are discussed as main sources of stress for single missionaries. The findings indicate that pastoral care in the form of short-term visiting ministry is urgently needed, since they usually have no partner with whom to discuss their stressors and thus dangerously ignore their stressors due to their training and endurance. The CBR has two readings per week for a three year cycle. There is a year each for the Pentateuch, the Monarchy/Exile and the Gospels/Acts. The second readings are from the epistolary, prophetic, poetic or didactic material. The readings are introduced and connected with framing statements. This project begins with a summary of the challenges faced by megachurch pastors. A chapter of biblical and historical considerations provides background material on the value of team ministry. Case studies reveal lessons learned through interviews, surveys, and onsite visits at churches that have incorporated a team-preaching model. Biblical forms of prayers are useful for praying with persons 'in Christ' and persons 'outside of Christ' when they are in physical decline and dying. The research methodology included interviews, observation, and participation. Thirty-nine residents living in Covenant Village of Northbrook, a Christian continuous care not-for-profit retirement community, were interviewed. This project considers the indebtedness of Pentecostals to sacramentalists and Evangelicals who contributed to the doctrine of a Spirit baptism subsequent to regeneration. The scriptures which relate speaking in tongues are discussed from a Pentecostal perspective, although alternative interpretations are explored. In his book Good to Great, Jim Collins observes how effective leaders demonstrate a paradoxical blend of professional will and personal humility. This same paradox is reflected in Jesus' grace-giving, truth-telling leadership. He perfectly modeled how to relate to people redemptively while not compromising in matters of truth and righteousness. This project details a process for enhancing leadership effectiveness by cultivating self-awareness among church leaders in regard to professional will and personal humility.
