The study highlights four themes: the decision to share the diagnosis with others, loss, the need for support from one's faith community, and commitment. The project involved two groups of participants that were studied and evaluated. The diagnosis included dementia and Alzheimer's disease (Group A), and depression or serious medical or neurological illnesses (Group B).
