The hypothesis was that the preaching moment as therapy would meet the needs of West Africans. A focus group was designed and implemented to achieve goals for this Model in Ministry. Results of the Model in Ministry indicated significant change in variables. Moreover, the preaching moment met the needs of the multicultural church by creating an environment for guidance, assurance, and sustaining collective acceptance among the congregants. One workshop and a sermon series were used in the test congregation to transform the church into a more inclusive faith community.  The results of the post-test questionnaire showed that attitudes and assumptions of the test congregation have been transformed. The methodology used was a sociological model of communication-dialogue, which included the Spiritual Journeys of two multicultural pastors and dialogue between two multicultural groups.  The applied treatment revealed little difference between the two cultures as it relates to ideas about Christianity.  There were differences, however, in how the two cultures viewed each other. The methodology included a pretest, a packet of learning activities for the purpose of pre-workshop preparation, a workshop, the post-test and the use of the Delta Model for future action planning and transfer of learning. The purpose was to find a culturally sensitive methodology which could be relevant to different cultural contexts. The model was implemented in two countries, Italy and the United States of America. In both cases, the methodology focused on the application of a narrative approach to the task of care.
