The methodology used to achieve this was a pretest survey, a four-sermon series, and a post test survey.  The findings of this project confirmed that there is a definite relationship between expository preaching and spiritual growth. A series of sermons was developed with the input from the project associates to help the Korean congregation understand the Christian message in the context of Korean shamanistic culture and to equip them as ministers for God and to others. Evaluation of nine sermons, sessions discussing views of preaching, and sermon preparation seminars were the methods used; members of Fourth Lutheran Church, Springfield, Ohio, participated.
