The hypothesis was family units who are equipped in and apply apostolic practices will see an increase in their ability to impart those practices to other family units. Apostolic practices were implemented within the context of fourteen families in the Denver Metropolitan area. Data was gathered from pre- and post-testing, a focus group, journal entries facilitated among participants, and a survey conducted among successful apostolic leaders. This project promotes a public health approach to the treatment of substance abuse by treating the family rather than the individual. Five sessions using an impromptu skit and four didactic sessions educated the abusers about the roles family members play in dysfunctional families. It comprises assessing the family's relationship and their ability to support the inmate prior to their release from prison and reduce ex-offender recidivism. The researcher employed a six-week intervention model to assess the family's preparation. It highlighted challenges that families experienced in supporting ex-offenders and identified potential barriers. A qualitative research methodology was used to gather data from 37 respondents using interviews and questionnaires. The hypothesis was that through training, education and Christian principles, the members of Corinthian can  develop their families, financial empowerment.  This project consisted of a series of financial seminars.  The research design was pretest and posttest, using ten identical questions on each test. The project began with the premise that the Bible, and the stories of the lives of the people in it, has often been viewed as an authoritative document within the African-American community.  The project lifted up through preaching various biblical family behavior imperfections and showed the 'presence of God,' as an incentive to move listeners beyond their shame and pain toward wholeness, growth and productivity.  The preaching of family sermons, resulted in a desire for more sermons on biblical families.
