Planning an interactive day for members and explorers of the grail -- a spiritual movement based in Loveland, OH, this researcher included holistic methods as a means for sharing the story of the grail. Seventeen members/explorers attended the day-long retreat 'Eternal compositions: spiritual autobiography and the women of the grail' and engaged in creative modalities recounting the stories of the grail. The author developed study materials and class content for eight class sessions. These were presented in two weekly teaching forums over the course of two months. Evaluation of the experience by students and the presenter is included. Six participants completed the process using Frederick Buechner's autobiographies, 'The Sacred Journey' and 'Now and Then,' as models for personal theological reflection.  There were six sessions and one follow-up. A qualitative case study method was used. The thesis was supported through the study although the true possibilities for use of spiritual autobiography were not developed through the research. A special feature of this design involved participants in an imaginative exercise of narrating their life stories in the voice of God.
