C. Overlays of comparisons and contrasts with Jesus' command to remember his life, death, and second coming in the form of Communion and the Resurrection are shown as meeting place at the Cross. From the readings and documents, readers will gain a sense of the relevancy of Friendship to the community, city, and world. These glimpses are a means of passing along the history and future hopes to both the young and the seasoned members of the church. Chapters three and four are theological chapters that deal with poverty, Christian call for the holistic ministry and various models of the transformational development. The author led a launch team of forty people to create a new model by focusing on relevant, engaging, transformational worship, spiritual formation, a student/young adult focus, an innovative, agile leadership system focusing on relationships and utilization of gifts, and being a missional church. Bridging the gap between these established organizations requires assessment, education, and establishment of a means of inter-organization communication. This project's convergent parallel mixed method of research utilized a survey to assess organizations perceptions and group discussion to assess, educate, and initiate cross-communication. The study utilizes autoethnography, literature reviews, and both qualitative and quantitative research to identify five core competencies that are necessary for young clergywomen of color to thrive: self-awareness, strategic thinking, leadership, balance, and cultivating relationships. The author used surveys and interviews to ascertain the meaning images held not only for the individual members but also for pastors, visitors, and the congregation as an entity. A second project, a step back in the trip design of trips was created ('Making Your Trip a Pilgrimage') which assists tour leaders and organizers in designing and implementing pilgrimages to the Holy Land. 'To spread the scriptural holiness over the land' is the message that characterizes a distinct and ultimate goal in his ministry and mission. My goal in this dissertation is to explore how sincerely and eagerly John Wesley pursued the holiness of heart and life, throughout his life journey. While individuals are eager to lead, the church lacks a clear succession plan or a distinctive process for mentoring and coaching pastors to lead at the various administrative levels of the denomination. Research shows that effective use of rhetoric and communication empowers leaders to become more effective in casting vision and leading people to take the next step.
