The survey was completed by 113 respondents age fourteen or older at New Hope Community Church of the Nazarene in Tempe, Arizona. Though that communication has sometimes fallen on deaf ears, the message has been delivered in multiple mediums.  This history of the church has followed suit in attempting to communicate the unchanging message of the gospel into constantly changing cultures.  In some eras the church has been more successful than others, but never has the medium of communication been unimportant.  This study looks at the art of communication, giving particular attention to its given context and its use of multi-sensory venues to communicate the gospel.  This project begins with a broad survey of some of the highlights of communication in culture, particularly related to the church.  The review of literature then looks at the history of the way that God has communicated with His people throughout the biblical witness. Finally, this project studies the way that the church has attempted to communicate this good news to a world that changes.  In this project, a methodology will be formulated to examine the best ways to use the expanding technologies to communicate the gospel today.  Focus groups will be used to measure the effects of multi-sensory stimulants in worship. A qualitative research model was employed, primarily utilizing focus group interview sessions, as well as private interviews. The sample population consisted of twenty churches of different denominations that consistently reach non-Christians through their worship services.  A researcher-designed questionnaire and semi-structured interview were used as instruments. This research sought to identify the basic components of Christian worship.  Characteristics of baby boomers were identified and a model of worship was created for them that was built upon the foundation of the early church and the first years of the Methodist Church.  A t-test and a two-way ANOVA were used to analyze the Existential and Religious Well-being subscales. The project was an evaluation study in quasi-experimental mode utilizing a pretest-posttest design with no comparison group.  The results of the research do reflect a general receptivity to the four-fold pattern but there was little indication for substantiating this pattern as a common ground for worship in the Church of the Nazarene.
