The design of the project included three sections to identify the demographics of the participants; a five-point Ligert scale to capture the attitudes of the participants on the subject matter; and an evaluation of the study.     The results of this study revealed that the participants that a ministry to the incarcerated. The goal was to enhance the awareness of congregants and members of the surrounding community to better understand the problems and issues regarding ministry to the incarcerated and their families. The data were collected and analyzed from three workshops conducted to evaluate the pre and post understanding of participants pertaining to incarceration. The analysis used to determine project impact was obtained from the post and delayed tests responses of the participants.  Results indicated that all nine participants had beneficial experiences. It will also offer human services such as employment, spiritual counseling and an understanding of family dynamics upon re-entry.  A new coalition of community and church based networking has been established to address the multiple needs of re-entry.  A new mentoring project has been established to meet the indispensable supportive needs of children whose parents are incarcerated.
