A Likert Scale and a series of open ended questions measured the impact that this resource had upon the participants. The findings revealed that although this resource made a positive impact upon the participants' well-being, it did not adequately attend to the subject of grieving losses through lament. The importance of lament in the process of grief is not widely understood. Men make up less than 30 percent of the population in Bethany Baptist Church.  Therefore, this project will design, implement, and apply a mentoring manual by which pastors and leaders can mentor men in general, but specifically to African-American men in this context.
