This project introduced the lectio divina methodology to 25 actively serving pastors of the Northern Ohio District of the Church of the Brethren in an attempt to elevate the sense of God's presence in their lives. The research question is: What is the effect of the practice of specific spiritual disciplines upon leadership roles by laity within a local church setting?  A secondary question is: Does the regular practice of these spiritual disciplines promote change in leadership styles?
